Events Calendar at Thailand, Land of Smiles
At last, a proper calendar for Thailand…
Awhile back I started chatting on twitter with Andrew from The Bangkok Bugle about the lack of available calendars for Thailand. Andrew compiled some pretty decent resources – Bangkok’s best what’s on magazines – but we all agreed that none 100% fit the bill.
Talen from Thailand, Land of Smiles decided to take up the challenge:
I’ve always liked keeping readers informed on upcoming events in Thailand but it’s been a bit of a struggle because a lot of organizers and even TAT wait until the last minute to start advertising dates for events.
After struggling to find one place that lists all the various events taking place in Thailand throughout the year I decided I might as well give it a go.
Unfortunately my old theme wouldn’t accommodate a calender so I had to wait until I upgraded the site.
Good news is I have been in touch with a lot of organizers and have been steadily adding events. Still waiting for some organizers to release dates for quite a few events but hopefully they will be getting back to me.
I’m hoping the calender will evolve and become an integral part of my site.

Cat, Thanks for the plug. Hopefully it’s something everyone can use and contribute to as well. It’s one thing to be in Thailand and know about events happening but for all the people that aren’t there it’s hard to find a good listing of all available events and for that matter the right dares in some instances.

Yearly events in Thailand are easy. It’s the rest that are at times irritating because they are not promoted.
