Hi Martyn, thanks for the birthday wishes. Tuckered from travel, instead of going to L’Opera I opted to stay in and order Italian.

My liquid gold of choice for the day? Punto Niño Chile Reserva 2006 Sauvignon Blanc. A decent wine at a none too shabby price range: 600 odd baht.

It is said to have a French influence. I say ‘bah!’ It has more of an Australian flavour than anything else.

Thanks. I didn’t realise they sell birthday charms at Wats. I knew that they sold all sorts of trinkets, as I look them over every time to see if one grabs me.

So now it’s back to a Wat to pick out something for a Friday.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. This year I decided to celebrate by going to Belgium as I’d never been. So by my actual birthday (Sunday), I was happy to lay around.

Excellent post. I always forget the day I was born on and usually end up going with green as well. I did the same at Wat Phra That Phanom last year.

Now I know I was a Monday baby so I will have to get another charm they sell at That Phanom to exchange for my green one lol.
