The very first one was JUMBO English-Thai Dictionary by Gordon Allison from which I learned to read and write Thai script by comparing the Roman-letter transliteration with the Thai script. Using logical deduction, I determined which Thai character was a consonant and which was a vowel. Crazy... Yeah.I know..that was 10 years ago and I REALLY wanted to learn Thai! Then I discovered Benjawan's book in the same bookstore many months later! Then the clouds parted!! Thank God for Ms. Becker! I have all of her DVD's.
