The old stuff still holds sway, that's for sure. I used to sit down to Sesame Street with my son. Only, it was more my favourite than his. He'd wander off, leaving me enthralled with the puppets (his thing was Scooby Do). Scooby Do is still around too, I imagine.

Martyn, Odd that Google.com isn't paying special attention to the wall, because the TV sure is! Maybe it's a graphic thing? That Count von Count is easier to illustrate than the wall?

One of my friends, a diplomat, was in Germany when the wall went down (doing dip things for the time). He brought a piece back and we oooooohed! and aawwwwwed! at that broken piece of wall all through the evening. That raw chunk of masonry was a huge event for all of us.

Catherine I grew up in the age of Sesame Street but you're not going to like this but I hardly ever watched it. Don't ask me why because I really don't know.

An interesting pointer to your post. The 20th anniversary of the falling of the Berlin Wall has just passed and the only special Google logo for it is at Google Germany. At Google's main home Google.com Count von Count of Sesame Street can be found but the wall is nowhere to be found.
